This is Claudia's pen speaking. 'Does she write her copy with a pen?', you may ask. Sometimes. 'But this is a website, surely someone typed this?', you'd reply. Let's not dwell on details, my new overthinking friend, what I can say is: I've known her writing ever since the first page of her locked diary, circa 1990.

Past the embarrassing pre-teen recounts of her day, we graduated in Advertising in Lisbon, where we started our copywriting career. After a couple of years' practice, we took some antimalarial drugs and off we went to Angola. Some awards and a street shooting later, we were back in Lisbon. To spice up our pen-owner relationship she developed an interest in digital advertising. At first I resisted all that drawing of banners, carousel ads and unspeakable interactive experiences. But as we became good at it I realised that this new phase was strengthening our bond.

Multiple clients followed, until she packed me in her bag and we moved to Singapore. That was in 2014. Since then, we've been creating more award-winning work together: from a viral video to encourage victims of bullying to break their silence, to a whimsical direct mail to introduce Airbnb to Chinese journalists, and an animated film for Singapore Airlines.
On top of creating meaningful work and winning pitches, she also loves to guide young creatives. When we're not writing ideas or improving someone else’s, she uses me to tie up her hair or to chew on (chewing gum is not available in Singapore). Which still beats being put in a pen case while she goes diving around the region, hosts games nights, or cooks recipes with up to 5 ingredients.

Drop us a line. I much prefer when she addresses a real person than 'Dear Diary'.
